Jamie Ison, former Alabama State Representative, joined the commercial sales staff at White-Spunner Realty in May 2018.
Ison served from 2002 until 2014 as a state representative for Alabama District 101. The former Director for the Alabama Institute for Deaf and Blind’s Mobile Regional Center, Ison said she is looking forward to bringing more business opportunities to the Gulf Coast through commercial real estate.
Appointed to the Mobile Airport Authority in 2018, Ison is a longtime member of several civic and professional organizations, including the Rotary Club of Mobile, Sunrise, the Mobile Judicial Commission and the Mobile and Alabama Associations of Realtors where she serves as the Federal Political Coordinator for Congressman Bradley Byrne.
Known for her adventurous spirit, in 2005 she summited Mount Kilimanjaro as part of a team with American athlete Erik Weihenmayer. He was the first blind person to reach the summit of Mount Everest in 2001.
Jamie and her husband, Jay Ison, have two adult sons, Philip and Wyatt. The couple attends St. Paul’s Episcopal Church in Mobile. She enjoys traveling and has a passion for wildlife photography.
